Studio Maternity and Newborn Sessions

My studio sessions are much slower, laid back, and more gentle pace than my outdoor sessions. These are held in my home studio space in Lara, flooded in soft filtered natural light. It is warm, cosy, and sheltered from the Victorian winter we all know so well.

My skin to skin raw portrait sessions, focusing on connection and intimacy. The vibe is a minimalistic design with a simple white backdrop, pampas grass, bunny tails, and preserved flowers.

We bask in the beautiful soft light with gentle cream tones and textures.

They are about capturing your inner self by focusing on skin to skin moments with your loved ones.

Designed for motherhood, maternity, newborn, family, couples, or self portraits.

My newborn sessions are baby led, so I allow 2-3 hours for this. When you arrive you'll feed and change bubs, and then I will wrap them, settle them, and gently pose them in a natural way. Throughout, we follow their cues, re-settling, and stopping for a break as necessary.

Newborn sessions are pencilled in for a date within 2 weeks of your due date, and this will allow flexibility if bubs decides they aren't ready to make an entrance. The first 14 days are the most opportune time to capture the sweet details of bubs, as they are still sleepy and who doesn't love a sleepy milk drunk bubba?

If bubs is a little older when you come to me, that is totally fine too! Everyone's circumstances are different, so shoot me a message and we can chat!

Maternity sessions are laid back, private, and designed to best capture your glowing bump. I allow up to 90 minutes for these, and we can be as creative as you like, showing as much skin as you are comfortable with.

I have a selection of wraps and outfit options for mum and bubs. These can be viewed in my Client Wardrobe.

In my studio, I aim to capture raw, organic connection between you and your loved ones. We hang out, chat, have a laugh, and capture some magic. The kids can be silly, play with some toys, and enjoy them selves. I want to strip back the formal studio portrait persona and create some fun memories.
